Linda Buck, CSJ

Linda Buck, CSJ is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange and is currently the Director of Initial Formation and Novice Director for her Congregation. She is a licensed psychotherapist and spiritual director, and provides services, consultation, and training on the integration of psychology and spirituality. Linda has academic background in both clinical psychology and theological studies and is pursuing doctoral studies in Transformative Social Change. She works with Congregations and other groups to foster change within their hearts and systems. Linda is passionate about the ability of individuals and systems to grow toward their fullest potential and uses her background to foster culture change within our current and emergent systems.

Ella es una psicoterapeuta licenciada y directora espiritual, que ofrece servicios, consultas y formación sobre la integración de la psicología y la espiritualidad. Linda tiene formación académica tanto en psicología clínica como en estudios teológicos y está cursando estudios de doctorado en Cambio Social Transformativo. Maria Cimperman, RSCJ

Maria Cimperman is a Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (RSCJ). She serves as Associate Professor of Theological Ethics and the Director of the Center for the Study of Consecrated Life at Catholic Theological Union (Chicago). Her work is at the intersection of moral theology, social ethics and spirituality. Love of God and love of neighbor converge in the desire to respond to the cries of the people and the cries of the earth – the wounded heart of humanity and earth where God already is and where God is calling us. Maria is passionate about creating communities of hope on a global scale, linking across religious families and with all in common cause for the transformation of the world for a more just, merciful and loving local and global community.  Maria presents both nationally and internationally and finds it a grace to engage with people on conversations of consequence. She enjoys immersing in other cultures to see, hear and imagine the new emerging.

María Cimperman es una Religiosa del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús (RSCJ). Es profesora asociada de ética teológica y directora del Centro para el Estudio de la Vida Consagrada en la Unión Teológica Católica (Chicago). Su trabajo está en la intersección de la teología moral, la ética social y la espiritualidad. El amor a Dios y el amor al prójimo convergen en el deseo de responder a los clamores de la gente y a los clamores de la tierra: el corazón herido de la humanidad y la tierra donde Dios ya está y donde Dios nos llama. María hace presentaciones tanto a nivel nacional como internacional y encuentra una gracia en entablar con la gente conversaciones de importancia. Eddie Fernández, SJ

Father Eduardo “Eddie” Fernández, SJ, plays a critical role in forming Jesuits and lay people. A professor of pastoral theology, missiology and ministry at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in Berkeley, Calif., since 1997, Fr. Fernández specializes in Latino theology, Mexican and Southwestern history, social justice, intercultural ministry, inculturation and the celebration of the sacraments in multicultural contexts.

El Padre Eduardo "Eddie" Fernández, SJ, desempeña un papel fundamental en la formación de jesuitas y laicos. Profesor de teología pastoral, misionología y ministerio en la Escuela Jesuita de Teología de la Universidad de Santa Clara en Berkeley, California, desde 1997, el P. Fernández se especializa en teología latina, historia mexicana y del suroeste, justicia social, ministerio intercultural, inculturación y la celebración de los sacramentos en contextos multiculturales.

Mumbi Kigutha, C.PP.S

Sister Mumbi Kigutha was born and raised in Kenya. She has worked with diverse vulnerable populations including stints with various UN agencies. Sr. Mumbi currently resides on the southside of Chicago working as a part-time International Consultant for Jesuit Refugee Services under the Reconciliation and Social Cohesion Department. Sr. Mumbi is also a regular contributor to the Horizons column of the Global Sisters Report and was also recently appointed as the organizing secretary of the Pan-African Catholic Theology and Pastoral Network. Sr. Mumbi graduated from CTU with a Master of Arts in Justice Ministry and a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry in addition to her previous MBA in Marketing. Her theological interests center around Womanist and Africana interpretations, reconciliation, racial and gender equity and their intersection with other areas of social justice.

La hermana Mumbi Kigutha nació y creció en Kenia. Ha trabajado con diversas poblaciones vulnerables, incluyendo estancias en varias agencias de la ONU. La Hna. Mumbi reside actualmente en la zona sur de Chicago y trabaja como consultora internacional a tiempo parcial para el Servicio Jesuita a Refugiados en el Departamento de Reconciliación y Cohesión Social. La Hna. Mumbi es también colaboradora habitual de la columna Horizontes del Global Sisters Report y recientemente ha sido nombrada secretaria de organización de la Red Panafricana de Teología y Pastoral Católica. La Hna. Mumbi se graduó en la CTU con un Máster en Ministerio de Justicia y un Certificado en Ministerio Pastoral, además de su anterior Master en Administración de Empresas, especializado en Marketing. Elizabeth Liebert, SNJM

Elizabeth Liebert is committed to offering resources to future leaders of the church to help them understand and deepen their own spiritual grounding and to extend their ministries of spiritual nurture and care of their congregations and other ministries. Her current research centers on aspects of the academic discipline of Christian Spirituality, and, in particular, on the practice of discernment, both personally in in institutional settings. She is a member of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) an educationally oriented Roman Catholic women’s religious congregation.

Elizabeth Liebert está comprometida a ofrecer recursos a los futuros líderes de la iglesia para ayudarles a entender y profundizar en su propia base espiritual y a ampliar sus ministerios de nutrición espiritual y cuidado de sus congregaciones y otros ministerios. Su investigación actual se centra en aspectos de la disciplina académica de la Espiritualidad Cristiana y, en particular, en la práctica del discernimiento, tanto a nivel personal como institucional. Es miembro de las Hermanas de los Santos Nombres de Jesús y María (SNJM), una congregación religiosa femenina católica de orientación educativa.

Adriana Milmanda, SSpS

Sr. Adriana Carla Milmanda is a member of the Missionary Congregation of the Servants of the Holy Spirit and current Provincial Superior of her province of origin: South Argentina. She is a Bachelor and Professor of Theology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, and she obtained a Masters in Intercultural Studies and the Bible at CTU (Catholic Theological Union) Chicago, USA. She has accompanied and worked mostly on projects designed for the promotion and empowerment of young people and women in situations of socio-economic vulnerability, both in Argentina and in the Fiji Islands, in the South Pacific. Since 2013, she has been part of an international committee that, in conjunction with the Society of the Divine Word, develops programs intended to raise awareness and to form the members of their Congregations as well as others who require it for Intercultural Life and Mission.

La Hna. Adriana Carla Milmanda es miembro de la Congregación Misionera de las Siervas del Espíritu Santo y actual Superiora Provincial de su provincia de origen: Argentina Sur. Es licenciada y profesora de Teología en la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, y obtuvo una maestría en Estudios Interculturales y Biblia en la CTU (Catholic Theological Union) de Chicago, Estados Unidos. Ella ha acompañado y trabajado principalmente en proyectos destinados a la promoción y empoderamiento de jóvenes y mujeres en situación de vulnerabilidad socioeconómica, tanto en Argentina como en las Islas Fiyi, en el Pacífico Sur. Desde 2013, forma parte de un comité internacional que, en conjunto con la Sociedad del Verbo Divino, desarrolla programas destinados a sensibilizar y formar a los miembros de sus Congregaciones y a otros que lo requieran para la vida y misión intercultural.

vănThanh Nguyễn, SVD

vănThanh is a missionary priest of the Society of the Divine Word and has served on the CTU faculty since 2005. He is the Rector (or Superior) of Divine Word Theologate located in Hyde Park, Chicago. He serves on the Board of Directors and the Board Trustees of Divine Word College (2011-present) and the Board of Directors of the American Society of Missiology (2017-present). He is a co-convener and coordinator of Biblical Studies and Mission (BISAM) in the International Association for Mission Studies (IASM; 2012-present). He is an associate editor of the Journal of the International Association for Mission Studies (MS; 2013-present), and the managing editor of the Journal of Association of Asian/North American Theological Educators (JAANATE; 2013-present).

Es el Rector (o Superior) del Teologado del Verbo Divino ubicado en Hyde Park, Chicago. Es miembro de la Junta Directiva y del Consejo de Administración del Colegio del Verbo Divino (2011-presente) y de la Junta Directiva de la Sociedad Americana de Misionología (2017-presente). Es comediador y coordinador de Estudios Bíblicos y Misión (BISAM) en la Asociación Internacional de Estudios de Misión (IASM; 2012-presente). Es editor asociado del de la Revista de la Asociación Internacional de Estudios sobre la Misión (MS; 2013-presente), y el editor gerente de la Revista de Asociación de Educadores Teológicos de Asia y Norteamérica (JAANATE; 2013-presente).

Timothy Radcliffe, OP

Timothy Radcliffe OP  joined the English Province of the Dominican Order in 1965, and was ordained a priest in 1971. He studied at Blackfriars and at St John’s College, Oxford, and in Paris. From 1974-1976 he was a chaplain to the University of London before returning to Oxford, where he taught scripture and doctrine for twelve years. Besides teaching and preaching, he was involved in the Peace movement and in ministry to people with AIDS. He was Prior of Oxford from 1982 – 88, when he was elected Provincial of the English Province. He was President of the Conference of Major Religious Superiors. In 1992 he was elected Master of the Order, finishing his term in 2001. He was Chancellor of the Angelicum University in Rome, S.Tomas in Manila, the École Biblique in Jerusalem and the Theology Faculty at Freiburg, Germany. He is now an itinerant preacher and lecturer, based at Blackfriars, Oxford. He spends two thirds of the year travelling, and is a Trustee of the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. He sits on the Theological Commission of Caritas Internationalis.

Timothy Radcliffe OP ingresó en la Provincia Inglesa de la Orden de los Dominicos en 1965, y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1971. Estudió en Blackfriars y en el St John's College de Oxford, y en París. De 1974 a 1976 fue capellán de la Universidad de Londres, antes de regresar a Oxford, donde enseñó las escrituras y la doctrina durante doce años. Además de enseñar y predicar, participó en el movimiento por la paz y en el ministerio con personas con SIDA. Fue Prior de Oxford de 1982 a 1988, cuando fue elegido Provincial de la Provincia Inglesa. Fue presidente de la Conferencia de Superiores Religiosos Mayores. En 1992 fue elegido Maestro de la Orden, terminando su mandato en 2001.  Fue canciller de la Universidad Angelicum de Roma, de la S. Tomás de Manila, de la École Biblique de Jerusalén y de la Facultad de Teología de Friburgo (Alemania). Actualmente es predicador y conferenciante itinerante, con sede en Blackfriars, Oxford. Pasa dos tercios del año viajando, y es miembro del Consejo de Administración de la Agencia Católica para el Desarrollo de Ultramar. Forma parte de la Comisión Teológica de Caritas Internationalis.

Ronald Rolheiser, OFM

Rev. Ron Rolheiser, OMI, is a Roman Catholic priest and member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. He is a theologian, professor, award-winning author, and serves as president of the Oblate School of Theology. He holds Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Ottawa and Newman Theological College Edmonton and Master’s degrees from the University of San Francisco and University of Louvain, Belgium along with a PhD/STD from the University of Louvain. Apart from his academic knowledge in systematic theology and philosophy, he has become a popular speaker in contemporary spirituality and religion and the secular world. He writes a weekly column that is carried in over 70 newspapers around the world. His experience spans from: Teacher of philosophy, Newman Theological College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Member of OMI General Council; community-builder, lecturer and writer.

El reverendo Ron Rolheiser, OMI, es un sacerdote católico romano y miembro de los Misioneros Oblatos de María Inmaculada. Es teólogo, profesor, autor premiado y presidente de la Escuela Oblata de Teología. Es licenciado por la Universidad de Ottawa y el Newman Theological College de Edmonton, y tiene un máster por la Universidad de San Francisco y la Universidad de Lovaina (Bélgica), además de un doctorado/STD por la Universidad de Lovaina. Aparte de sus conocimientos académicos en teología sistemática y filosofía, se ha convertido en un popular conferenciante en materia de espiritualidad y religión contemporáneas y del mundo secular. Escribe una columna semanal que se publica en más de 70 periódicos de todo el mundo. Su experiencia abarca: profesor de filosofía en el Newman Theological College de Edmonton (Alberta, Canadá); miembro del Consejo General de los OMI; constructor de comunidades, conferenciante y escritor.

Gemma Simmonds, CJ

Gemma Simmonds is a sister of the Congregation of Jesus. After a career in teaching she worked as chaplain in the University of Cambridge and at Heythrop, where she also coordinated student support services. Since her return from study and work among women and street children in Brazil in 1992 she has been a volunteer on the chaplaincy team in Holloway Prison. She has worked in spiritual direction as a teacher and retreat-giver after training in the Jesuit Centre for Spiritual Growth, Wernersville, USA, and has been involved in religious and priestly formation internationally since 1993. Her work as a conference facilitator and simultaneous translator has also led her into translating theological works in French, Spanish and Portuguese. She re-joined the staff at Heythrop in 2005 and is a Senior Lecturer in Pastoral and Social Studies and Theology. She is Director of the Religious Life Institute, Co-ordinator of the Erasmus Exchange Programme and President of the Catholic Theological Association of Great Britain.

Gemma Simmonds es una hermana de la Congregación de Jesús. Tras una carrera docente, trabajó como capellana en la Universidad de Cambridge y en Heythrop, donde también coordinó los servicios de apoyo a los estudiantes. Desde su regreso de los estudios y el trabajo entre mujeres y niños de la calle en Brasil en 1992, ha sido voluntaria en el equipo de capellanes de la prisión de Holloway. Ha trabajado en la dirección espiritual como profesora y animadora de retiros después de formarse en el Centro Jesuita para el Crecimiento Espiritual, Wernersville, EE.UU., y ha participado en la formación religiosa y sacerdotal a nivel internacional desde 1993. Su trabajo como conferenciante y traductora simultánea la ha llevado también a traducir obras teológicas en francés, español y portugués. Se reincorporó al personal de Heythrop en 2005 y es profesora titular de Pastoral y Estudios Sociales y Teología. Es directora del Instituto de Vida Religiosa, coordinadora del Programa de Intercambio Erasmus y presidenta de la Asociación Teológica Católica de Gran Bretaña.
